MORE VINTAGE

i fall for "old time" beautiful hand crochet hankies.
i remember my mother handing us girls sweet little hankies before church.
we used them as hankies when needed but  mom always had extras that were clean and ironed to pinned  on our heads if we forgot our hats before entering the church.
hankies were so useful and played a rather large important roll in our life's.
i miss them :(

when i ran into this sale ......well i just had to rescue all these beauties.

i must of brought home 10-12 lovely hankies.

are they not just beautiful!

i might just have to pin one on my head and go to church.
but anyone under 50 would wonder "what is on that women's' head"?

they do not even have a priest at this parish over 50 years.

i will just have to pin a hankie on my head, tie an apron on me and clean my house remembering the days when it was "normal" to have a hankie on one's head.

sweet, sweet

great crochet bloomer hot pad holder,
they are too cute to use!

this is a great book, an easy read about the life of aunt jane in the by gone days.
love it !
