29 AUGUST 2017

I spent the last 2 weeks in Yellowstone National Park! This was our 9th year in YSNP, the earliest we have been up there and the last time we will be up in the park mid-August. So-so busy!
But...the park itself delivered another amazing 2 weeks! We fished, knitted, hiked, ate, read, spun, experienced the eclipse and hiked some more. Yes, on a healing foot from a break in May, I was hiking-5-6 miles! This year we hiked up to an amazing lake-so beautiful I was in awe! YS is the place to go if a body/soul needs to heal, relax or be in AWE.
I completed several UFO's while vacationing, and that felt great. I really have way to many started projects and need to get serious about a lot more finishes! It's so exciting to start a project and I must remember the feelings of satisfaction in completing the project!
Coming home I'm a little overwhelmed with all that is going on....Houston, the ugliness POTUS has created and continues to create, family members dealing with health issues, broken relationships and life-some days just seeming a little too big to deal with all the issues. Today, I will look at the small things in my life and relish them, finding joy in small simple things. Keep it Simple today!

you are so lucky! I love your boots :) The views you shared are spectacular and I would be just like you - knitting and camera and the wilderness all to me :) :)
