RUGGING

OK so these lovely potatoes have nothing to do with Rug making....

Neither do these beautiful beets,
But I just love taking pictures of fresh veggies.....

Here is the rug I have been working on for the past couple of weeks

Working at the hospital almost everyday sure puts the brakes on my sewing and rug making time.

This rug when done will look BEAUTIFUL in my family room !

QUILT SPACE

A stack of quilts that I had to move from the "drop off room" to the floor of another room because I am OUT of storage space!!!!!
A child moved back home { I am thrilled about that }, but what am I to do with all these quilts.
I have a break front filled with quilts, every closet shelve full, a ladder full, all couches, chairs and tables displaying quilts and 40+ quilts that I have made I have given to family and friends.
I only keep the quilts I want . I guess I want too much !!!!!!!
What do you do with all your quilts??

PINWHEELS

These little pinwheels are soo cute

And easy to make.
I have made them using fabric in quilts
but this is the first I have made them with paper.

Love the yellow bee

and pink butterfly

They even twirl in the wind.
{ I had them twirling in front of the fan }
I made them for flower pots but with all the rain we are having they have to stay inside
like me.

My Red and White is on the machine getting quilted.
Hot dog, another quilt almost done.

RUGS

Tuesday evening I was at My Sister Knits and Julie helped me rip about 10 yards of fabric for another toothbrush rug.

I went over with a basket of fabric and came home with a basket and a large bag full of strips.

[ sorry about the pic ]
And that was only half of the fabric ripped into strips

The start of the RUG.

THE FOURTH of JULY

My Red and White Quilt. Tried to get it layered for quilting yesterday but too many other things to get done. Hopefully before our BBQ I will find the time to get this honey ready for the machine.

Finished my Aunt Philly rug.

Am pleased with how this rug turned out using "uglies" from my scrap bin. Uglies some how turned into BEAUTIFUL when all put together. Strange how that works out.

Have the house decorated

for the biggest summer holiday

of the year.

Enjoy your fourth, God bless AMERICA, and take a minute to remember everything and everyone who made it possible for us ALL to live in a FREE country !

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
